PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND AFFILIATIONS
Freddie holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Building Surveying from Glasgow Caledonian University and has been engaged in private practice property consultancy since 1998. He attained Chartered status in 2001.

He is a Chartered Building Surveyor, is a Member of the RICS, the Society of Chartered Surveyors (SCS) in Ireland, and is an Accredited Conservation Surveyor. He has also been registered by SEAI as a BER Assessor.

BACKGROUND
He spent four years in private practice predominantly engaged in Architectural and Building Surveying instructions in Scotland before leading the property team of a major charity for two years. Freddie relocated to Ireland in 2003 and was Associate Director of a leading Commercial Property Consultancy in Dublin before forming Freddie Millar Building Consultancy in 2006. 
 
EXPERIENCE 
Freddie has significant experience in the Commercial and Residential property sectors, has advised on the strategic development of public sector assets and monitored high profile construction projects up to €80m for many of the top lending organisations in Ireland and the UK. 

As well as being an exponent of Energy Efficient Architecture & Design, Freddie's invlovement in projects is as Lead Designer and Project Manager.

On projects involving Period Properties or Protected Structures (formerly known as  Listed Buildings)  Freddie draws on his significant experience as Conservation Consultant to advise clients on how best to conserve and resotore their property assets as well as specifying and project managing the physical works.

Freddie's project history includes a variety of residential, commercial, leisure, industrial and retail schemes with his client base including; private clients and developers, banking, motor industry, pension fund and information technology clients, along with public sector organisations.

ROLE
Freddie's role within the company is as Principal who is responsible for guaranteeing the quality of all output from the Dublin and Arklow practices.
