| “Freddie Millar achieved a great result for myself and my family with a painless extension of over 50sqm to our family home. We are delighted with the results. Our home is now brighter and feels much more spacious than the size of the extension would suggest.
Freddie took the time to go through the project in detail with myself and my wife. No questions were left unanswered and he had plenty of excellent suggestions to make to enhance the new environment. We now live in an airy, spacious and environmentally sound home that we can be very proud of.
The work was quite painless and each stage was completed to our expectations. His team were excellent to work with and we felt, at all times, that our home was in good, trustworthy hands. I must admit to having thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Even when the weather or a late delivery interfeered with plans, we were kept informed and plans never seemed to slip badly on time.
Apart from us being very satisfied, to the point of feeling somewhat smug, the project management surprised us by coming in under budget and on time. We had the opportunity to make changes during the build and were kept up-to-date on any cost implications, or where some costs could be saved.

| Freddie Millar conducted a complete structural survey in January 2008 of Abbeyfield House which is a large Victorian listed property in Monkstown and run as sheltered accommodation by the Abbeyfield Dublin Society, a registered charity.
This survey prompted the complete restoration of the exterior. The entire roof and gutters were restored and reinstated, the sash windows were renovated, the old Boiler was replaced and the kitchen was upgraded with Health and Safety compliant fixtures.
As the building is listed, Dun Laoghaire and Rathdown CC Conservation officer kept a close eye on all work and was completely satisfied with all aspects of the works and even increased the restoration grant at the end of the project in September 2008.
Freddie Millar has continued to manage the interior restoration work which has involved the restoration of ceilings and elaborate cornices again to the complete satisfaction of DLR conservation officer.
We at Abbeyfield would have no hesitation in recommending Freddie Millar for such projects and will continue to draw on his wide experience in the future.
From a cold, drafty, leaking building we now have a restored and refurbished property which will weather any future storms with ease!

| We represent clients in the South County Dublin / North Wicklow region. Many of these clients engage in property transactions. Since February 2009 we have used the Freddie Millar Building Consultancy as our preferred service provider in the property advice area.
During this time we have referred over 20 clients to Freddie. The service provided has been wide and varied. It has included neighbour disputes; boundary corrections; reports on leaking roofs; BER certificates; advice to management companies concerning apartment complexes; certificates of compliance with planning permission & building regulations; and many more.
Among the clients to whom we have referred Freddie, some have developed strong relationships where he continues to offer a direct service independently of this office. The feedback that I have received from my clients for work carried out by Freddie over the course of the past year has been unqualified in its praise. | Having now worked on several projects with Freddie, I can state with no reservations that Freddie’s integrity and ability are top class.
I’ve worked with many architects over the years and found Freddie Millar head and shoulders above the rest.
Freddie looks out for the client’s interests, as he should, while supervising the overall job to completion.
Many people talk a lot, promise much and deliver little. But Feddie says what he means and does what he says, and that’s hard to find these days.

There is nobody so punctilious as you in dealing with our clients. Normally we have put in a great deal of time and effort in helping clients get to the stage when they need your services, so it is vitally important to us to ensure that they are well looked after and returned to us, happy, and ready for the next stage of achieving their log house.
